Happy Thursday.
The angel network ecosystem has continued to flourish and our backlog has grown, so starting next week I'm planning to highlight 5 angel-network-backed startups instead of 3. To keep the read under 5 minutes, each overview will be a bit shorter.
How do you feel about that?
Two other quick announcements:

🥇 The Nugget: My Top Takeaway from A Conversation with Ashok Kamal
Slow is a choice. So is fast. ⚖️
Every investor group's process involves inherent tradeoffs.
For example, a longer, more deliberate process is a fine choice, as long as the community understands and is comfortable with what it’s missing out on. In contrast, Ashok and the NuFund team wanted a structure that would allow them to participate in faster-moving rounds, so they built a system unlike the “typical” angel group's: a pooled annual fund with a 30-day diligence ceiling and an emphasis on empowering small expert deal teams.
From Ashok: “Some deals happen in 9 days, some deals happen in 90 days. But if you only are built to do deals that take 90 days, you're not going to get a good one that takes 9 days.”
Takeaway: Decide what matters most to the community, then build the process to serve that objective.
